McelRoy Metal

McelRoy Metal, Mechanically Seamed, 138T and 238T Panels

Standing seam roofing systems have been in use for generations, but the 138T and 238T panels introduce technological advancements that establish a new standard for performance. Both systems are classified as symmetrical standing seam systems and feature mechanically seamed caps.

This product family offers several benefits, including patented recovery solutions that represent the best method for rejuvenating existing metal or shingle roofs. A key advantage of the 238T and 138T systems is their ease of repair or modification after installation. Unlike asymmetrical standing seam systems, individual 138T and 238T panels can be removed and replaced.

With the life expectancy of Galvalume® roofs approaching 60 years, the ability to replace individual panels is especially important.

138T and 238T advantages include:

  • Ease of installation
  • Individual panel replaceability
  • Watertight seam design
  • Reduced Air Infiltration
  • Single-piece panels up to 250' long
  • No lap conditions = Improved weather tightness
  • Outstanding recover solutions
